FLUSHING, N.Y., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Prominent rabbis in the New York City area backed measures to distance the Orthodox Jewish communities from public officials and candidates who support same-sex marriage, a recent survey found. A broad consensus of Rabbis surveyed acknowledged the need to correct the mistaken impression that Orthodox Jews were willing to turn a blind eye to the enactment of public laws that directly contradict the Torah, like same-sex marriage.

ATLANTA - The nation's largest publisher of newspapers serving the gay and lesbian community has shut down. Laura Douglas-Brown, editor of Southern Voice newspaper in Atlanta, said she arrived at work Monday to find the locks changed and a note saying parent company Window Media LLC had closed down.
